Datalogic Gryphon GD4500 handheld scanner

The Gryphon I GD4500 can be used as both a handheld and presentation scanner. It is supported by Motionix™ technology, which automatically sets the appropriate scan mode based on the user´s movements. This technology works both with and without the use of a stand. Both the aiming device and the sensor can be individually programmed.

White illumination is more pleasing to the human eye and also enhances reading performance on colored labels. The clearly visible 4-point target defines a precise reading zone and reduces false reads, as the central target cross simplifies the detection of multiple barcodes among each other.

Simple use and commissioning

The Gryphon I GD4500 is an omnidirectional imager that quickly and reliably captures 1D, 2D, postal, batch and composite codes such as PDF417, even from mobile devices. Special High Density (HD) models are available to capture smaller, condensing codes. A version with red illumination has been developed for capturing digital watermarks. The improved optics also provide better motion tolerance and fast capture when codes are passed at high speed.
