To make this wearable solution complete, the WD1 can be paired with other devices via Newland EasyConnect software, such as the Newland WD2 handheld back scanner or the Newland WD3 pocket scanner. Like any consumer smartwatch, the WD1 was also designed to be as intuitive to use as possible and to minimize training requirements.

The Newland WD1 combines cutting-edge technology in a sleek and fashionable design. It combines a modern Android 9 operating system and a 2.8-inch touchscreen with the robust casing of a durable device. Inside, a 2.0 GHz Quad Core processor ensures fast processing speed of apps and data. Along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of system memory, the Newland WD1 allows its user to quickly execute tasks and process captured data. A 3300 mAh battery provides plenty of power for up to 12 hours of work and is ready to go again after two and a half hours thanks to fast charging. The built-in scanner can be triggered via a customizable side button to scan 1D and 2D codes. For more flexibility in data capture, you can choose between a 2D standard range scanner and a 2D midrange scanner. Shortcuts can be used to create shortcuts to various functions, for example, to provide access to the Scan App at DeepL.
The Newland WD1 was created to withstand harsh and dusty corporate environments. Inevitable bumps and drops are no problem thanks to the rugged housing, as the WD1´s exceptional toughness allows the wearable to withstand drops from 1.2 meters. The IP67 sealing protects the wearable scanner from water and dust. At the same time, the WD1 can be used in both hot and cold environments. Conditions from -20°C to +50°C are no problem, making the Newland WD1 suitable for use in almost any work environment.
